Each one of these gorgeous leotards are sewn with a metallic base fabric. This gives them huge holiday shine and bling, but can reduce the stretch of the underlying base fabric.
These were sewn with identical patterns to FlipFlop Leos plain spandex but may fit more snugly.
The appliques were affixed using a commercial thermal press under high heat and pressure; not a household iron. After pressing, the front panels of the leotards were machine washed and dried several times with full loads of laundry to test the adhesion. None of the appliques lifted up or showed signs of coming off. The manufacturer of the appliques claims that they will stick through at least 25 washings, but they don't know what our gymnasts can put a leotard through! 😁 To be totally on the safe side I recommend hand-washing and hanging to dry. With this testing and disclosure, I will not accept returns/refunds if the patch loses adhesion.
